MEETING LOCATION CHANGE THIS MONTH!
DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE REGULAR LOCATION/TIME!

Hell all!

Quite a few of you expressed an interest in seeing Rackspace and getting
a tour of the data center facilities that house the largest Linux data
center in the world.  With over 4,500 servers on line, it IS quite a
site to see!

Thanks to the generous people of Rackspace (who also house our web
server) and their Open Source Public Relations Office--the XCSSA and
SATLUG user groups have been officially invited for pizza and a tour of
the Rackspace data center, offices, and people--right here in downtown
San Antonio!


Where?
------
On Monday night, January 21st, XCSSA and SATLUG are both invited to meet
at Rackspace headquarters at 6:30pm, at 112 E. Pecan on the S.E. corner
of the intersection of E.Pecan and Solidad (across of the Adam's Mark
Hotel).  See the map on our web site located here:

Parking will be across the street in the west parking lot marked "P" on
the map above.

There should be small paper signs marking the way across the street to
the main building lobby in the Weston Center:

(the large marble building that also houses the Bank of America)

The security guards in the Weston Center will let you into the front of
the main lobby on E.Pecan.  There should be someone there to greet you,
but if not, just have a seat on one of the comfortable couches until we
get our act together. ;)


What Will Happen?
-----------------
The rough schedule of events will be:

6:30-6:45 - Arrive in Weston Center main lobby
6:45      - Escorted to 5th Floor Conference Room
6:45-7    - Pizza and drinks until everyone arrives
7pm       - Introduction of Rackspace hosts and User Group officers
7-7:30    - Short talk about who Rackspace is, how we got started, what
we do, Q&A
7:30-8:30 - Tour of Data Center, offices/facilities, ongoing Q&A
8:30-9ish - Final Q&A, networking, any requests for sales consulting
 

WE NEED A HEAD COUNT:

If you plan on coming under the XCSSA group, please email Tom Weeks
BEFORE Friday the 11th.  If you plan on coming with SATLUG, please talk
to the group leaders either directly at their January meeting on
Wednesday night (the 9th), or by their design.

Again, DO NOT show up at the normal XCSSA meeting facilities in Balcones
Heights as there will be no one there.



XCSSA Logo Contest:

Time is running out for the XCSSA logo contest!  A couple of people have
spoken to me about entering, but NO ONE has sent me an actual entry
yet!  So get your entry in NOW, before January the 14th and you could be
the defacto winner! :)  The group will choose the winner at the
Rackspace meeting, and the winner will walk away with a very special
