On the topic...
I decoded that song p/fsk message in 1992 in the "geek wing" of McKinnis 
hall in the A&M dorms.

Just played the audio out into a headphone, pushed against a phone 
handset going into my hays 2400 smartmodem's "line" connection, with the 
modem set to 300n81, after issuing the ATA command to the modem...  And 
poof.. there it was...  I forget the whole "secret message", but it was 
just some deep thought about some tour road trip rant one of the band 
members felt inspired to write.
