Most of Google's best and coolest features have traditionally just "showed up" 
one day under the beta area.. and then after they're wildly popular, get 
announced and rolled out.

I wonder if this has real meat, or if it's just a trick they're turning for 
their board of directors to kick up the ole stock tickers...  I hope they 
haven't let the bean counting suits take over.. that'll be the worst thing 
that could happen to their creative style of innovation.
