Same here. I had a Hauppauge TV card in my Linux box that didn't show up 
in my VMware'd Windows.

I have read that DirectX is "in work".  All they support is OpenGL right 
now, I think.

VMWare Server 1.0.0 is also free, and I think it may use RAM a bit more 
efficiently than Player.
