[XCSSA] June meeting topic?

Wanted to go over a few more details on the NAS CN-550.

1. Fat 32 file system has a limit of 4GB file size. The company is working
on a modified Fat 32 in the next firmware upgrade to push the limit to
16GB.

2. Formated the drive on the USB 2.0 connection originally...bad idea the
box has to format the drive via the browser interface after
installation of the HD and connection to the network. Wasted a couple hours
when I did it the wrong
    way first-)

3. Protocols supported TCP/IP, SMB, FTP, HTTP, SNTP Time protocol.

4. Support 24 simultaneous FTP users and 64 network users.

5. Going to try and get FTP working in the next couple of days. If anybody
wants to volunteer to try and FTP into the box to test it I could use
the help. Not comfortable doing it from work. IT guys get a little touchy
about the Medical data
    potentially at risk.

6. There is a firmware limit on the amount of folders you can have on the
drive and also the number of FTP accounts. FTP accounts can be set up with
passwords and read/write priveledges.

Hope this info's a little more coherent. Tom got me by surprise last
night(Thanks Tom). If you all want to know anything else about it just let
me know.

I like the future potential of this thing with firmware updates. Hoping
somebody on the internets starts hacking around on it to add more
functionality. Speeding it up would be nice. Most of the reviews said the HD
controller is slow first gen PATA chip.
