[XCSSA] Programming Source Control

Hello Everyone,

I've been working on a side project lately with some developers from
around the country and we are trying to find a good solution to manage
our source control.  At the office here I use Visual Studio.NET Team
Foundation Server, but for a small time project it is both overkill
and expensive.  We tried out cvs and did not really like some of the
drawbacks it comes with.  We also looked at Visual Source Safe and
I've had enough problems with it in the past that I did not want to
risk our source code on it.

I'm looking for a cross-platform server/client source control system
that - even if the server is linux or windows only - has clients for
both windows and linux.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
