[XCSSA] Geek Squad at it again....

I know a Mike who works for Geek Squad. Is the person you are talking about a student at Saint Mary's? Which store does Geek Squad work for? I'm curious if that guy will get his money back. Maybe someone will get fired.

 Make up an invoice to your friend.  Describe in detail what you found and had to do to fix it.  Make sure the amount you "charge" your friend is AT LEAST as much as he paid the idiots at the store.  And have your friend take it over to the store for reimbursement. 
  
 Tell your friend to not even bother talking to the counter idiots or the supervisors.  Go directly to the store manager.  Explain what happened and give him the invoice.  Tell him that if he's not reimbursed for the repair amount - he's going to the DA's office about pressing charges, going to the main company office about their operation, and to the local media about this outrage.  I can guarantee that if he sticks to his guns - he'll get his money back. 
  
 Personally, after getting my money back -- I would STILL go to the media (and maybe even the DA).  This is the type of crap that gives all of us who work on computers and networks a bad name.  These people need to be identified and chased out of the business.  You know the old saying about lawyers -- "99% of them make the rest of us look like scumbags" (quote from a lawyer).  I'd REALLY hate to see the public get the same impression about us!

     Just another reason to not trust the Geek Squad.
