Hey folks,

I mistakenly purchased an AM2 form-factor opteron for my file
server, thinking that it was just an AM2 processor with more on-chip
cache. I am not sure if it survived being plugged into the wrong
mobo, but if anyone wants to try it out, get in touch with me
(see sig file for link to contact info).

I also have an "Ultra" (make) "X-Connect" (model) 700W power supply
with modular power cabling, but it is a bit deeper (less than 1") than
a normal power supply, possibly because it has dual 80mm fans. It
won't fit in my case, and it has never been used, brand new from Fry's
in Houston. I can return it if necessary but if anyone would be
willing to trade me another 24 pin (ATX 2.0) 600-700W power supply for
it, as part of the free opteron or by itself, I would be very
grateful. I am somewhat short on discretionary spending money right
now, and so feel unable to buy exactly what I need right now. I have
been trying to get this file server in operation since Thanksgiving
though, and I am getting impatient.

I would also be willing to trade the Opteron for any AM2 processor.

If the Opteron doesn't work, you run no risk whatsoever; return it
to me and I'll roll back the transaction.
