You know, the other side of this is that I have restrained myself in the
past while evolution-centric topics have been discussed at length and I
restrained from replying. I think that if you cannot consider my views,
shared by many in the scientific community, as valid then you should
remove me from this list.
The apologies can go both ways.
We are wreaking havoc on the environment and to take solace in some
billion+ year history is inflammatory. The damage is real, the damage
is being done today and the process is slow enough that we can objectify
it to any arbitrary level we want so that we can continue doing what we
want.
You could, in the future, consider such comments as inflammatory towards
me, and if I am truly offending the majority of the people on this list
then I have no business being on this list.
