I guess you /could/ run scorched3D on an Ubuntu or Fedora live CD, but you 
would have to get the OpenGL AIGLX/XGL working right out of the gates, and 
then install Scorched3D from the repos.  Not that hard I guess.. but one size 
would not fit all (IMHO).
