I have used http://www.batchpcb.com/ for prototyping and they are good and
reliable, but a bit slow. They are slow due to the nature of their
business, but for one or two-of, they are one of the better ones. If you
are going with a big order, then you can use one of the many chinese board
houses. I have used http://www.goldphoenixpcb.biz/. They accept the same
gerber files as batchpcb (they are business partners). They have a $99
special for 155 sqin worth of board. No setup fee, but if you want
certain "extras" you have to pay for them, such as 2sided silk screen. If
you stick with single sided silk, then the 99 bucks will get you as many
of your boards as you can fit in 155 SQin. You do not have to make the
gerber file with the multiple boards, you send them the files for one
board and they replicate it for you to maximize the number of boards. They
do allow for multi project order, but you have to pay a fee for this
($30). Oh! and shipping is included in the price.

I'm sure there are many others out there, but those two I have used and
had zero problems. They will be included in my presentation. I'm not
sure when I will be able to give the presentation, since I have to go to 3
weeks of training by the end of September. At least one of the trainings
falls on the meeting day. Once the training days are firmed up, I can let
Tweeks know when I'm gonna present.

If you need help with your board layout, just let me know.

[XCSSA] Who is your favorite boardhouse?

So I am fairly close to finishing my board layout for my MidiBox
project (in this case, it is the BankStick module) and was curious as
to who your favorite boardhouse was? The EagleCAD site lists TONs of
them. It's a simple top/bottom board with a ground plane so it's
nothing super fancy, although I only plan on ordering 1 or 2 to begin
with. I'm not finished yet, but if anyone wants to see the work in
progress, let me know!

Werd,

Tim
