Robert.. dude. You don't need optical or SPDIF/coax to get rid of your XBox's
crappy sound. You just simply have a crappy little RatShack audio amp. The
thing's from the 80's for pete's sake. It probably has dried out filter caps
and can' reproduce the full 3watts of pounding audio that it's rated for.
Just go spend $20 on a new/cheap little audio amp or decent $60 set of PC
speakers and you'll be fine man.
